DIPLOMA PROGRAM
2023 SPRING SEMESTER

The Diploma of Theological Studies is designed for students who are considering theological discipline and who seek a basic foundation in religious education.  It also provides an increased and concentrated exposure to the nature and principles of the Christian faith and certain areas of church work.

This program enables persons of all levels of training and expertise to expand their insight and perspective in biblical studies and/or ministry.

PS 203 Christian Worship

Tuesday | 9:30am - 11:00am

A study of the meaning and methods of worship.

NT 203 Life of Paul

Tuesday | 11:05am - 12:35pm

This course examines Paul, the man, and his calling, each of Paul's missionary journeys, and the contents and doctrinal emphasis of Paul's epistles.

HI 201 History of the Black Church

Thursday | 9:30am - 11:00am

This course is a review of the Black Baptist movement in America.

CE 210 Education of Youth

Thursday | 11:05am - 12:35pm

This course is designed to study the characteristics and needs of youth and of the educational methods employed in ministries to them.

EVENING COURSE SCHEDULE

PH 202 Christian Ethics (PM)

Tuesday | 6:30pm - 8:00pm

This course contrasts Christian ethics with speculative ethical systems and then seeks to construct a Christian theology of the moral life.

PS 207 Pastoral Ministries (PM)

Thursday | 6:30pm - 8:00pm

A study of the various ministerial tasks and their inter-relationship, and the resources available to the pastor.
