THE MARTIN-WEBB BAPTIST LEARNING CENTER, INC. officially began in 1952 when Southern Baptists and National Baptists came together to sponsor training and nurture to local black ministers and laypeople. We have been training ministers and laypersons for leadership and church ministry since 1952.

The N. J. Brockman School of Theology is housed within the Martin-Webb Baptist Learning Center. It's purpose is to educate and develop able and effective Christian leaders at all levels for service in Christian ministries. The N. J. Brockman School of Theology Alma Mater was written and composed by The Late Rev. Dr. Ronald D. Barton.
