The mission of the NJ Brockman School of Religion is to educate and develop able and effective Christian leaders at all levels for service in Christian ministries:  pastors, evangelists, Christian educators/directors, youth leaders, and religious counselors.

 

This Degree program of study is designed for the student who already has a basic foundation in religious education and who is desiring to expand his/her biblical knowledge on a more concentrated level for use in the area of Christian ministry.

COURSE SCHEDULE

TH 201 Biblical Hermeneutics

Tuesday | 9:30am - 12:30pm

An introduction to the basic skills of biblical interpretation based on contextual, grammatical, and historical research. Emphasis will be placed on the principles of sound exegesis, which lays the foundation for cognitive understanding.

 

CH 111 Black Baptist History

Thursday | 9:30am - 12:30pm

A study of the development of the Black Baptist church from the Reformation period to the present, with major emphasis on its history in the United States. Special consideration will be given to Black men (individuals) and movements, relationships of Baptist to other bodies and denominational subdivisions.
